Don’t
forget to stop by one of Virginia Department and Game and Inland
booths while at the show. Department Conservation Police Officers
and Wildlife Biologists will be on hand to answer all your hunting,
fishing and wildlife information questions. It’s also a great time
to purchase your hunting and fishing licenses or to pick up a copy
of the new 2008 Virginia Wildlife Calendar. Complimentary copies of
the new 2007-2008 Hunting Regulation & Information booklet will also
be available.
This year the Department will host a special workshop for hunters
with disabilities on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Mr. Robin
Clark, Volunteer Coordinator for the NWTF’s Wheelin Sportsman’s
Outreach Program, will be a keynote speaker for the event. Mr. Buddy
Fines with the Virginia Deer Hunters Association will also be a
featured speaker and will highlight the organizations efforts to
promote quality deer hunting experiences for people with
disabilities. Organizers of this year’s Virginia Outdoor Sportsman
Show will also offer free admission to disabled veterans and persons
who have a valid disabled hunting license.
